Commercial property agency OMEETO Ltd has planted 261 native British trees, purchased through the Woodland Trust, on land at Middleton, Wirksworth. This represents one tree for every office deal completed since the company was formed five years ago.
The initiative boosts biodiversity, supports pollinators, combats tree disease, and enhances wildlife habitats in the Derbyshire countryside. It is OMEETO’s way of thanking clients and customers for their ongoing support.
The planting includes a disease-resistant mix of silver birch, common beech, English oak, hornbeam and wild cherry, together with a pollinator-friendly mix of hawthorn, blackthorn, crab apple, rowan, hazel, goat willow and dog rose.
