CoMech Metrology, formed in 1985, was previously based at the Rail Technology Centre in London Road.
The company is a market leader in the niche design, manufacture, distribution and calibration of measuring equipment primarily for major names in the national and international rail industry but with a growing customer portfolio in the automotive and aerospace sectors.
The deal for CoMech’s move to the 3,948 sq ft hybrid office warehouses in Victoria Way was secured by Derbyshire commercial property agents OMEETO and paves the way for future expansion and customer diversification.
OMEETO director Chris Wright explained: “This is a significant move for CoMech Metrology which was keen to expand into self-contained premises to raise their profile and provide scope for future expansion.
“The premises in Victoria Way are easily accessible by rail, road and air and the high quality facilities have the flexibility to combine office space with high tech laboratory, assembly and warehousing.
“Their brief was to find high quality premises in a premium location with storage. Having offered a range of options, I am delighted that we have been able to secure this lease.”
The building is owned by our clients https://bailey-construction.co.uk/ who are experienced landlords. We were able to complete the deal in a timely manner, dovetailing the new occupier with the outgoing tenant.
Salloway Property Consultants acted as joint agents.
